Really Beautiful Things...: The Victory shot - Rock Climbing at Settlers Park - Boulder Canyon

One of the highest delights in my life is hiking with John and Ashley. We have a blast together..... John is our leader and wears the backpack, Ashley is our navigator - and interviewer (we have great videos) and I assume the rear position and alert the crew when it's time for a break.

I absolutely cherish these times... At the summit we always take the victory photos. Thank you LORD, for beautiful mountains, grandchildren that love them like I do, and time to be together. BEAUTIFUL!!!!

This I DO know....

Larry & I started writing a little book when after an awful year, we felt like there was not much we knew any more. While sitting on the bench, watching people at the Orchard Park shopping center, we came up with this.... I don't know much, but this I DO KNOW:

1. I never want a tatoo.
2. I don't want to pay retail any more.
3. At 54/58 years old, we're ready to follow instructions.
4. This is as fat as I'm getting.
5. Music soothes your soul.
6. People watching is a great date.
7l. There is a huge difference between faith & belief.
8. You get exactly what you expect.
9. We should have bought the car with leather seats.
10. Rebellion has been wrung out of me.
11. Even a bad 'known' is better than an unknown - to an unhealthy mind. (Allison).
12. It's better to live in the WHAT IS than in the WHAT IF (Shari).
13. Real friends will push your car when you run out of gas.
14. God provides for every single need we have - Plus bonuses.
15. I don't do well without my husband.
16. My girlfriends don't call me an airhead - even when they could.
17. As of 2-3-09 - I will no longer walk in the valley of the shadow of debt, doubt, discouragement and despair. My Shepherd is taking me to greener pastures - TODAY!!!
